At Cherry Fold Community Primary School, we offer a wide range of extra-curricular sporting activities which allow the pupils to engage and participate in various activities.

Year 3/4 Gymnastics Festival

On Tuesday 26th November, some of our children from year 3 and 4 visited The Best Centre to take part in a Gymnastic event. The children tried different gymnastics skills such as trampolining, balance beam, bars, spring board into a foam pit and floor routines. The children all had lots of fun and really enjoyed the experience at The Best Centre.  

Year 3/4 Multi-Sports Festival

On Monday 19th November, some of our children from year 3 and 4 visited Burnley College to take part in a Multi-Sports event. The children played 9 different skilled games focusing on fundamental movement. The children all had a big smile on their faces and really enjoyed playing the different games.  

Year 5/6 Girls Football Cup Match

On Friday 15th November, the year 5 and 6 girls took part in a cup match against Brunshaw Primary School at Unity College. The girls lost the match but played fantastic and give everything with a never give up attitude. 

Year 6 Bench Ball 

On Tuesday 12th November, some of our year 6 attended a Bench Ball event at Unity College. The 8 children took part in a 6 game competition and played really well, showing great sportsmanship, positive attitudes and having plenty of fun. They ended up finish 3rd overall out of 8 schools. Well done all you was fantastic.

Year 2 Multi-Sports Competition 

On Monday 11th November, some of our children from year 2 visited Burnley College to take part in a Multi-Sports event. The children played 9 different skilled games focusing on fundamental movement. The children really enjoyed the games and had lots of fun in the process.  

Year 5/6 Girls Football

On Friday 8th November, some of our Year 5/6 Girls took part in a football qualifiers at Burnley College. Here the children were involved in a group tournament in which they played 4 games. The children worked really hard and tried their best, scoring some fantastic goals and showing real team spirit. All the children showed excellent determination, resilience and respect. Well done yo all.  

Year 5/6 Boys Football

On Friday 1st November, some of our Year 5/6 boys took part in a football qualifiers at Burnley College. Here the children were involved in a two-group tournament in which they played 4 games. The children worked really hard and tried their best, this was rewarded with a 3rd place finish at the qualifiers. All the children showed excellent determination, resilience and respect. Well done yo all.  

Tag Rugby Year 3/4 

On Tuesday 29th October, some of our Year 4 children took part in a Tag Rugby festival at Prairie Sports Village. Here the children were involved in a two-group tournament in which they played 8 games. The children worked really hard and tried their best, this was rewarded with a 3rd place finish at the festival. All the children showed excellent determination, resilience and respect. Well done everyone.
