“Be respectful. Be smart. Be kind.”
Hello and welcome to the class page for 3K! My name is Mr Keogh and I’m the teacher for the children in The Lorax class. Mrs Mullany, our LSA, works in our classroom Monday to Thursday each week. Miss Kausor teaches on a Wednesday afternoon (PPA cover) and Miss Hill supports us on Fridays. In our class, we thrive in a supportive, caring and nurturing environment where we all learn and have fun. We believe in being fair, honest, inquisitive and passionate when it comes to learning. We value friendship and inclusion because we are more than a class; we’re a team! Updates, photos, reminders and messages can be found on ClassDojo.

Children will have a reading book chosen by themselves appropriate to their reading level. Accompanying these books are their reading diaries, where you can write comments on their reading daily. Your child will also be given many opportunities throughout the week to read a variety of texts and will then undertake an online quiz to assess their understanding of the text.
I will be out of class on a Thursday afternoon.
Miss Kausor will cover RE and French. Get ready for lots of enjoyable activities!
In Year 3, children are expected to complete two to three pieces of homework a week.
Your child has been provided with both CGP English and maths books to complete their homework. Each week, they will be provided with different page numbers in order to complete different tasks from each book!
Weekly spellings will be sent home every Friday. You should practise these throughout the week, ready for our test the following Friday morning!
Y3 Common Exception Words
PE will take place every Tuesday and Wednesday.
Please ensure a full kit is in school ready for your child’s lesson.
It is important to note that your child can bring a healthy snack to eat at break times such as fruit or vegetables. We also encourage your child to bring water to drink in class throughout the day, but they may bring something else to drink with their packed lunch.
Sharing Our Learning
We want our parents and carers to ask us about the wonderful things we have been doing this term in 3K. We share more on ClassDojo!
